We are looking for the right person to lead and inspire the housekeeping team – with the goal to make Ängsbacka Course Center into a beautiful, cozy, held and well organized “home” – for guests, workshop leaders, volunteers and staff.
Ängsbacka Course Center in Molkom, Sweden hosts a large number of courses and festivals in the field of personal development all year round. In the spirit of service to all that come here our goal is that everyone will enjoy the feeling of being welcomed and taken care of during their entire stay. We are looking for a person who will be supporting the guest both by coordinating daily housekeeping and beatufying and by being the host at some of our events.
Making the guests feel welcome
The area of Housekeeping is considered one of the key functions; our ambition is to offer guests beautiful, clean and inviting sleeping rooms, workshop spaces, toilets/showers and shared areas for eating and recreation. By fully embracing the role as Housekeeper you are offered a unique opportunity to really support the Ängsbacka magic that is created by the thousands of people passing through each year.
The Housekeeper role is mainly that of a coordinator; you will be planning tasks and work-leading volunteers on a daily basis. Occasionally, depending on the work-load and the number of available volunteers, you will be directly involved in completing the necessary practical tasks.
Ängsbackas basic style is simple, relaxed and home-like; in your role you have the possibility to be creative and add personal touch and flavour to enhance the experience of the guests. Bigger renovation or beautifying projects are initiated and coordinated in collaboration with other circles and the management team.
The Host function during the actual event involves for example to be the first point of contact for the participants as well as the course leader; you are expected to effectively respond to any practical needs that may arise during the event by solving the issue yourself or delegate to a suitable person.
As Housekeeper you act in close co-operation with Ängsbacka’s event coordinator, responsible for collecting and communicating all essential information for the planning and completion of events. You are a member of the Operations Circle; a collaboration of the work-leaders from operational circles such as Kitchen, Site, Booking etc. responsible for execution of the event as a whole – your area of responsibility is to ensure that the indoor spaces are sufficiently prepared and maintained to serve the course or festival at hand.
